Abstract:
composição química, produção de ácidos orgânicos, estabilidade aeróbica e digestibilidade in
No experimento, a inclusão do
ABSTRACT: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of the addition of fibrolytic enzymes and
fermentation time on the chemical composition and fermentative characteristics of forage plants
through a systematic review with meta-analysis. In addition, a controlled experiment was
conducted to assess the impact of an enzymatic blend on the fermentative characteristics,
chemical composition, organic acid production, aerobic stability, and in vitro dry matter
digestibility (IVDMD) of BRS Capiaçu elephant grass silage. The meta-analysis was carried
out based on a protocol structured according to the PICOS strategy, compiling studies that
evaluated the inclusion of fibrolytic enzymes in tropical grass silages. The experiment was
conducted in a completely randomized design with six replications, using doses of 0, 2, 4, and
6 g/kg of dry matter of the enzymatic blend Fiberzyme®, applied to BRS Capiaçu elephant
grass silage. The meta-analysis indicated that the inclusion of fibrolytic enzymes reduced the
neutral detergent fiber (NDF) content from 579.23 to 515.57 g/kg of dry matter (DM) (P =
0.0219), with a tendency toward reductions in acid detergent fiber and hemicellulose. In
addition, fermentation time influenced most variables related to chemical composition,
digestibility, and fermentative profile, promoting a progressive reduction in DM and an increase
in ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N), indicating intensified microbial activity over time. In the
experiment, the inclusion of the enzymatic complex showed a quadratic effect on acid detergent
fiber (ADF) (P = 0.0386) and quadratic tendencies for NDF (P = 0.0859) and total digestible
nutrients (TDN) (P = 0.0875), with the best responses observed at the intermediate dose of 2
g/kg DM. It is concluded that the application of fibrolytic enzymes promotes dose-dependent
effects, resulting in specific improvements in the chemical composition of BRS Capiaçu
elephant grass silage, particularly through the reduction of the fibrous fraction, while
fermentation time plays a decisive role in fermentative and nutritional changes in silages.
