<description>NITROGÊNIO COMO MODULADOR DA EFICIÊNCIA NUTRICIONAL E PRODUÇÃO DE ÁCIDOS ORGÂNICOS NO CRESCIMENTO INICIAL DA PITAIA
SOUSA, Tháis Santiago de
RESUMO: O presente estudo foi desenvolvido para testar a hipótese de que a concentração adequada de N em solução nutritiva, promove incrementos na produção de ácidos orgânicos e eficiência nutricional no crescimento inicial de plantas de pitaia. Para isso, objetivou-se avaliar a interação entra a produção de ácidos orgânicos, a eficiência nutricional e a biomassa seca no crescimento inicial de Pitaia em diferentes concentrações de nitrogênio na solução nutritiva. Utilizou-se delineamento experimental de blocos casualizados, com cinco concentrações de nitrogênio (0; 5; 10; 20 e 30 mmol L-1) na espécie de pitaia Hylocereus polyrhizus. Os resultados demonstram que a ordem, decrescente, de acúmulo de macronutrientes observado nesse estudo na parte aérea foi Ca&gt;N&gt;Mg&gt;K&gt;P, e nas raízes, Ca&gt;N&gt;Mg&gt;P&gt;K. As limitações no crescimento das plantas ficaram evidenciadas, principalmente na ausência de N na solução, refletindo em um menor acúmulo de biomassa seca nas raízes e parte aérea. Em concentrações de 20 mmol L-1 de nitrogênio, há maior produção de massa seca de parte aérea (MSPA), massa seca total (MST) e volume de parte aérea (VPA), sendo resultado da maior produção de ácidos orgânicos na fase inicial de crescimento da pitaia. &#13;
ABSTRACT: This study was designed to test the hypothesis that the right concentration of N in the nutrient solution promotes increases in the production of organic acids and nutritional efficiency in the initial growth of pitahaya plants. The aim was to evaluate the interaction between organic acid production, nutritional efficiency and dry biomass in the initial growth of pitahaya at different nitrogen concentrations in the nutrient solution. A randomized block experimental design was used, with five nitrogen concentrations (0; 5; 10; 20 and 30 mmol L-1) in the pitahaya species Hylocereus polyrhizus. The results show that the decreasing order of macronutrient accumulation observed in this study in the aerial part was Ca&gt;N&gt;Mg&gt;K&gt;P, and in the roots, Ca&gt;N&gt;Mg&gt;P&gt;K. The limitations on plant growth were evident, especially in the absence of N in the solution, which resulted in a lower accumulation of dry biomass in the roots and aerial part. At concentrations of 20 mmol L-1 of nitrogen, there is greater production of shoot dry mass (MSPA), total dry mass (MST) and shoot volume (VPA), resulting from greater production of organic acids in the initial phase of dragon fruit growth.

<description>GENÓTIPOS RESISTENTE E SUSCETÍVEL DE FEIJÃO-FAVA RECRUTAM COMUNIDADES BACTERIANAS DISTINTAS DA RIZOSFERA E FILOSFERA EM RESPOSTA A Colletotricum truncatum

RESUMO: A resistência das plantas a patógenos resulta da interação entre fatores genéticos e do microbioma associado. Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar como genótipos resistentes e suscetíveis de feijão-fava (Phaseolus lunatus) estruturam as comunidades bacterianas da rizosfera e da filosfera sob inoculação por Colletotrichum truncatum. Utilizando sequenciamento do gene 16S rRNA, análises de diversidade, estrutura bacteriana, abundância diferencial e redes de co-ocorrência, foi avaliado o papel dos dois compartimentos microbianos na resposta à antracnose. A análise de coordenadas principais (CAP) e a PERMANOVA mostraram que o genótipo foi o principal fator na estruturação das comunidades bacterianas em ambos os compartimentos. Na rizosfera, o genótipo resistente apresentou redução da diversidade após inoculação, enquanto o suscetível exibiu aumento, sugerindo instabilidade microbiana frente ao estresse. A composição taxonômica evidenciou o enriquecimento de táxons associados ao biocontrole, como Bacillus, Streptomyces, Shinella e Microbacterium, principalmente no genótipo resistente inoculado (Rs+Ct). A análise de gêneros exclusivos mostrou que plantas resistentes recrutaram mais táxons específicos em ambos os compartimentos. As redes de co-ocorrência revelaram que o genótipo resistente manteve redes mais coesas e com predominância de interações positivas, sobretudo na filosfera, indicando maior estabilidade e funcionalidade ecológica. Em conjunto, os resultados demonstram que a resistência à antracnose no feijão-fava depende da integração entre genótipo e microbioma, na qual a rizosfera atua como núcleo estabilizador e a filosfera se reorganiza funcionalmente para reforçar a defesa. &#13;
ABSTRACT: Plant resistance to pathogens results from the interaction between genetic factors and the associated microbiome. This study aimed to investigate how resistant and susceptible genotypes of lima bean (Phaseolus lunatus) structure the bacterial communities of the rhizosphere and phyllosphere under inoculation with Colletotrichum truncatum. Using 16S rRNA gene sequencing, diversity analyses, bacterial structure, differential abundance, and cooccurrence networks, the role of the two microbial compartments in response to anthracnose was evaluated. Co-op ordination (CAP) and PERMANOVA demonstrated that genotype was the main factor in structuring bacterial communities in both compartments. In the rhizosphere, the resistant genotype showed reduced diversity after inoculation, while the susceptible genotype exhibited increased diversity, indicating microbial instability in the face of stress. The taxonomic composition revealed an enrichment of taxa associated with biocontrol, such as Bacillus, Streptomyces, Shinella, and Microbacterium, mainly in the inoculated resistant genotype (Rs+Ct). An analysis of exclusive genera showed that resistant plants recruited more specific taxa in both compartments. Co-occurrence networks revealed that the resistant genotype maintained more cohesive networks with a predominance of positive interactions, especially in the phyllosphere, resulting in greater stability and ecological functionality. Taken together, the results demonstrate that anthracnose resistance in broad beans depends on the integration between genotype and microbiome, in which the rhizosphere acts as a stabilizing core and the phyllosphere functionally reorganizes to strengthen defense.

RESUMO: O pequi, Caryocar brasiliense Camb. é uma espécie nativa do Cerrado brasileiro, cujo óleo essencial ainda é pouco explorado quanto às suas propriedades inseticidas. Nesse contexto, este estudo teve como objetivo desenvolver e avaliar a eficácia inseticida de nanoemulsões contendo óleo essencial da polpa do fruto de pequi sobre Bemisia tabaci MEAM1 em folhas de soja e realizar o estudo do seu mecanismo de ação via docking molecular. A análise química revelou predominância de ésteres, com o hexanoato de etila o composto majoritário (92,82±0,56%). A nanoemulsão apresentou eficácia estatisticamente semelhante ao inseticida sintético 24 h após a aplicação, nas concentrações de 10000 e 20000 ppm, sem causar fitotoxicidade, enquanto o óleo essencial in natura provocou efeitos fitotóxicos na maior concentração. As concentrações letais para reduzir o número de indivíduos em 50% (CL₅₀) da nanoemulsão foram de 12368,0, 7162,8, 5364,9 e 3251,6 ppm após 48, 72, 96 e 120 h de exposição, respectivamente, e para o óleo essencial in natura os valores de CL₅₀ foram de 12617,5, 1102,3 711,2 e 253,5 ppm, indicando aumento da toxicidade ao longo do tempo de exposição. Análises de docking molecular indicaram interação do hexanoato de etila com a enzima acetil-CoA carboxilase, sugerindo interferência na biossíntese lipídica como possível mecanismo de ação inseticida. Esses resultados demonstram o potencial inseticida do óleo essencial de pequi e evidenciam a nanoemulsificação como uma estratégia promissora para o desenvolvimento de formulações mais seguras, estáveis e eficazes no manejo sustentável de B. tabaci. &#13;
ABSTRACT: Pequi, Caryocar brasiliense Camb., is a native species of the Brazilian Cerrado, whose essential oil is still poorly explored regarding its insecticidal properties. In this context, this study aimed to develop and evaluate the insecticidal efficacy of nanoemulsions containing essential oil from pequi fruit pulp against Bemisia tabaci MEAM1 on soybean leaves and to study its mechanism of action via molecular docking. Chemical analysis revealed a predominance of esters, with ethyl hexanoate as the major compound (92.82±0.56%). The nanoemulsion showed statistically similar efficacy to the synthetic insecticide 24 h after application, at concentrations of 10,000 and 20,000 ppm, without causing phytotoxicity, while the raw essential oil caused phytotoxic effects at higher concentrations. The lethal concentrations to reduce the number of individuals by 50% (LC₅₀) of the nanoemulsion were 12368.0, 7162.8, 5364.9, and 3251.6 ppm after 48, 72, 96, and 120 h of exposure, respectively, and for the essential oil in its natural state, the LC₅₀ values were 12617.5, 1102.3, 711.2, and 253.5 ppm, showing a decrease in the increase in toxicity over the exposure time. Molecular docking analyses indicated an interaction of ethyl hexanoate with the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase, providing interference in lipid biosynthesis as a possible insecticidal mechanism of action. These results demonstrate the insecticidal potential of pequi essential oil and highlight nanoemulsification as a promising strategy for developing safer, more effective, and efficient formulations for the sustainable management of B. tabaci.

<description>COMUNIDADES DE BACTÉRIAS PROMOTORA DE CRESCIMENTO DE PLANTAS NA RIZOSFERA DO FEIJÃO - FAVA, MILHO E CAUPI
SANTOS, Sara Regina Leite dos
RESUMO: As bactérias promotoras do crescimento de plantas (BPCP) constituem um elemento vital dentro do intrincado microbioma da rizosfera. É frequentemente observado que as espécies distintas moldam sua comunidade BPCP na rizosfera, influenciando mais o crescimento de algumas espécies do que de outras. Neste estudo em estufa conduzido em solo agrícola uniforme, examinou a comunidade BPCP na rizosfera de espécies de plantas significativas, incluindo duas cultivares melhoradas (milho e caupi) e uma variedade crioula (feijão-fava). A estrutura da comunidade BPCP divergiu entre a raça crioula e as cultivares, que exibiram estruturas comunitárias comparáveis. A rizosfera de feijão-fava apresentou grupos BPCP exclusivos (Streptomyces, Soliruborbacter e Methylobacter), contribuindo para a resistência das plantas e tolerância ao estresse. Em contraste, a rizosfera de ambas as cultivares apresentou abundância relativa semelhante de Bacillus e Paenibacillus, grupos envolvidos na promoção do crescimento vegetal pela produção de antibióticos e fixação biológica de N. Além disso, as cultivares exibiram uma proporção maior de micróbios especializados, resultando em uma interação comunitária mais complexa em comparação com a raça local. Os resultados deste estudo ampliam o conhecimento da comunidade BPCP em diferentes espécies de plantas e confirmam o efeito significativo de variedades crioulas e cultivares na seleção da comunidade de bactérias.&#13;
ABSTRACT: Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) constitute a vital element within the intricate rhizosphere microbiome. It is frequently observed that distinct plant species shape their PGPR community in the rhizosphere, influencing the growth of some species more than others. This greenhouse study, conducted in uniform agricultural soil, examined the PGPR community in the rhizosphere of significant plant species, including two cultivars (maize and cowpea) and one landrace (lima bean). The PGPR community structure diverged between the landrace and the cultivars, which exhibited comparable community structures. Lima bean's rhizosphere revealed exclusive PGR groups (Streptomyces, Solirubrobacter, and Methylobacter), contributing to plant resistance and stress tolerance. In contrast, both cultivars displayed a similar abundance of Bacillus and Paenibacillus, known for promoting plant growth through antibiotic production and biological nitrogen fixation. Additionally, the cultivars exhibited a higher proportion of specialist microbes, resulting in a more intricate community interaction compared to the landrace. This study enhances our understanding of the PGPR community among distinct plant species and underscores the substantial influence of landraces and cultivars on rhizobacterial community selection.
