Abstract:
RESUMO: O trabalho propõe uma investigação e uma análise sobre os impactos do home office associado
à prática jornalística em tempos de pandemia de Covid-19. Ao trazer essa perspectiva para o
cenário local, escolheu-se a Rede Clube de Televisão para ambientar o projeto, tendo como
objeto de estudo, os jornalistas da emissora que foram submetidos à modalidade remota em
domicílio durante a pandemia. O home office, como fruto da combinação entre avanços
tecnológicos e rotinas produtivas, já era uma realidade do fazer jornalístico em alguns casos.
Todavia, no contexto pandêmico, essa configuração de trabalho ganhou força e foi adotada de
forma emergencial pelos profissionais e pelas organizações, para estancar os efeitos da crise
sanitária no mundo do trabalho. No entanto, são muitas as contradições que permeiam essa
modalidade, revelando aspectos de vulnerabilidade no que se refere à saúde física e mental dos
homeofficers, invasão de privacidade, aumento das jornadas laborativas, violação e
desregulamentação dos direitos trabalhistas, além da intensificação da precarização do trabalho.
O estudo tem como base teórica a Economia Política da Comunicação, a partir de sua
abordagem crítica. Para tanto, tomou-se como aporte Mosco, Bolaño, Dourado, somado às
contribuições de outros importantes autores que atravessaram essa discussão. Diante do
exposto, faz-se necessário avaliar os desdobramentos dessa modalidade nas rotinas de produção
da classe trabalhadora, à medida que essa reconfiguração laboral avança, causando efeitos das
mais diversas ordens no mundo do trabalho contemporâneo.
ABSTRACT: The work proposes an investigation into the impacts of work from home associated with
journalistic practice in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. By bringing this perspective to the
local scenario, Rede Clube de Televisão was chosen to set up the project, with the broadcaster’s
journalists who were subjected to remote mode at the beginning of the pandemic as the object
of study. The work from home, as a result of the combination of technological advances and
productive routines, was already a reality in journalistic work in some cases. However, in the
pandemic context, this work configuration gained strength and was adopted in a sudden and
emergency manner by professionals and organizations, to stop the effects of the health crisis in
the world of work. However, there are many contradictions that permeate this modality,
revealing aspects of vulnerability with regard to the physical and mental health of homeofficers,
invasion of privacy, increased working hours, violation and deregulation of labor rights, in
addition to the intensification of precarious work. The study is theoretically based on the
Political Economy of Communication, based on its critical approach. In view of the above, it is
necessary to evaluate the consequences of this modality in the production routines of the
working class, as this labor reconfiguration advances, causing effects of the most diverse orders
in the contemporary world of work. To this end, Mosco, Bolaño, Dourado were used as input, in
addition to the contributions of other important authors who were involved in this discussion. In view
of the above, it is necessary to evaluate the consequences of this modality in the production
routines of the working class, as this labor reconfiguration advances, causing effects of the most
diverse orders in the contemporary world of work.
