ARTE E MEIO AMBIENTE: perspectivas e poéticas para educação ambiental

Abstract

RESUMO A tese investiga as relações entre arte, meio ambiente e educação ambiental, buscando compreender como a arte pode ser utilizada para a construção de uma consciência ambiental reflexiva, crítica e transformadora. A relação entre arte e meio ambiente é complexa e multifacetada e a arte pode ser utilizada na educação ambiental de diversas maneiras, dentro do seu próprio currículo ou interdisciplinarmente. O objetivo geral da pesquisa é esclarecer como o tema meio ambiente é trabalhado na disciplina de artes no ensino básico, tendo como fundamento a BNCC e as legislações ambientais traçando conexões com a formação dos alunos da Licenciatura em Artes Visuais da UFPI sobre o tema meio ambiente, a aplicação do tema em um estudo de caso no Instituto Educacional São João Bosco em Teresina-PI e análise dos livros didáticos utilizados em escolas de Teresina-PI, buscando o esclarecimento das perguntas: A obrigatoriedade de abordagem, pela BNCC permitiu a integração do tema meio ambiente no ensino de Artes na Educação Básica? Há uma formação mais abrangente com a inserção do componente Arte e Meio Ambiente no curso de Artes Visuais da UFPI? Os livros didáticos fornecem material necessário sobre o tema meio ambiente, segundo a BNCC? A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em três etapas: 1. Análise de livros didáticos de arte identificando as concepções de arte e meio ambiente presentes nos livros, as metodologias propostas para o ensino de arte com foco na temática ambiental; 2. Entrevista e aplicação de questionários com estudantes da Residência Pedagógica do curso de Licenciatura em Artes Visuais englobando suas percepções sobre a relação entre arte e meio ambiente, suas experiências com o ensino de arte e meio ambiente na formação docente e suas expectativas para a atuação profissional como professores de arte. 3. Pesquisa-ação com estudantes de uma escola particular de ensino fundamental de Teresina-Piauí. A pesquisa-ação consistiu na realização de oficinas de arte com foco na temática ambiental, com o objetivo de investigar o potencial da arte como ferramenta para a educação ambiental. Os livros didáticos de arte analisados apresentaram uma visão limitada da relação entre arte e meio ambiente, priorizando uma abordagem política, pela intervenção do artevismo ambiental e relegando a segundo plano a sua dimensão poética, expressiva e técnica. As entrevistas e aplicação de questionário com os estudantes de Licenciatura em Artes Visuais revelaram que eles reconhecem a importância da relação entre arte e meio ambiente, mas não conseguem executar de forma adequada, o ensino de artes, por problemas estruturais nas escolas, falta de material e carga horária insuficiente. A pesquisa-ação demonstrou que a arte é um instrumento poderoso para a educação ambiental, pois permite o desenvolvimento da percepção crítica e estética da realidade ambiental, expressarem suas ideias sobre o meio ambiente por meio da contemplação e aprimoramento do olhar para o que é bom, belo e verdadeiro e se engajarem em ações de cuidado com o ambiente em que vivem. A pesquisa conclui que a arte é uma ferramenta essencial para a educação ambiental, pois possibilita aos estudantes desenvolverem uma relação mais profunda e significativa com o meio ambiente, além de estimular a criatividade, o senso estético, e a responsabilidade ambiental.

ABSTRACT The thesis investigates the relationships between art, the environment and environmental education, seeking to understand how art can be used to build a reflective, critical and transformative environmental awareness. The relationship between art and the environment is complex and multifaceted and art can be used in environmental education in different ways, within its own curriculum or interdisciplinary. The general objective of the research is to clarify how the environment theme is worked on in the arts discipline in basic education, based on the BNCC and environmental legislation, drawing connections with the training of students of the Degree in Visual Arts at UFPI on the environment theme. , the application of the theme in a case study at the Instituto Educacional São João Bosco in Teresina-PI and analysis of textbooks used in schools in Teresina-PI, seeking to clarify the questions: The mandatory approach by BNCC allowed the integration of environmental theme in teaching Arts in Basic Education? Is there more comprehensive training with the inclusion of the Art and Environment component in the UFPI Visual Arts course? Do textbooks provide necessary material on the topic of the environment, according to the BNCC? The research was developed in three stages: 1. Analysis of art textbooks identifying the concepts of art and the environment present in the books, the methodologies proposed for teaching art with a focus on environmental themes; 2. Interview and application of questionnaires with students from the Pedagogical Residency of the Degree in Visual Arts course, encompassing their perceptions about the relationship between art and the environment, their experiences with teaching art and the environment in teacher training and their expectations for their performance professional as art teachers. 3. Action research with students from a private elementary school in Teresina-Piauí. The action research consisted of holding art workshops focusing on environmental themes, with the aim of investigating the potential of art as a tool for environmental education. The art textbooks analyzed presented a limited view of the relationship between art and the environment, prioritizing a political approach, through the intervention of environmental artivism and relegatin g its poetic, expressive and technical dimensions to the background. Interviews and questionnaires with students of the Degree in Visual Arts revealed that they recognize the importance of the relationship between art and the environment, but are unable to adequately teach arts, due to structural problems in schools, lack of material and insufficient workload. Action research demonstrated that art is a powerful instrument for environmental education, as it allows the development of critical and aesthetic perception of environmental reality, expressing their ideas about the environment through contemplation and improving the view of what is good , beautiful and true and engage in actions of care for the environment in which they live. The research concludes that art is an essential tool for environmental education, as it allows students to develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with the environment, in addition to stimulating creativity, aesthetic sense, and environmental responsibility.
