APLICABILIDADE DO MICROAGULHAMENTO NO TRATAMENTO DE CICATRIZES DE ACNE NA FACE

Abstract

RESUMO: INTRODUÇÃO: O microagulhamento (MA) é uma das opções para o tratamento das cicatrizes de acne, com a qual se obtém uma melhora na síntese de colágeno. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a aplicabilidade da técnica do microagulhamento no tratamento de cicatrizes de acne. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de uma pesquisa experimental, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, utilizando experimentos “antes-depois”. Foram selecionados quinze participantes, mulheres com idade entre 18 e 45 anos. Na avaliação, além de um registro fotográfico, foram aplicados o Quantitative Global Scarring Grading System for Post Acne scarring e a Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) para estimar o grau de melhora das cicatrizes e a eficácia do microagulhamento. RESULTADOS: Houve redução estatisticamente significante dos escores da escala citada após a intervenção quando comparados aos valores anteriores [0,7 (2 ± 14) vs 0,8 (1 ±), p=0,0015]. Em relação aos resultados do GAIS, após a aplicação do microagulhamento, observou-se que os avaliadores classificaram 5% das faces como “Muito melhor”, 20% das faces receberam o conceito “Bem melhor”, 47% foram analisadas como “Melhor”, 23% foram considerados “Sem alteração” e 5% da amostra recebeu o conceito “pior”. CONCLUSÃO: Neste estudo, o uso do microagulhamento reduziu as cicatrizes de acne, com redução dos valores da Quantitative Global Scarring Grading System após tratamento. Além disso, o uso dessa terapia proporcionou uma melhora estética óbvia, porém discreta de acordo com a GAIS. ABSTRACT:

INTRODUCTION: Microneedling (MA) is one of the options for the treatment of acne scars, with which an improvement in collagen synthesis is obtained. The aim of this study was to analyze the applicability of the microneedling technique in the treatment of acne scars. METHODOLOGY: This was an experimental research, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, using “before-after” experiments. Fifteen participants were selected, women aged between 18 and 45 years. In the evaluation, in addition to a photographic record, the Quantitative global scarring grading system for post acne scarring and the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) were applied to estimate the improvement of facial skin and the effectiveness of microneedling. RESULTS: There was a statistically significant reduction in the scores of the scale after the intervention when compared with the previous values [0.7 (2 ± 14) vs 0.8 (1 ±), p = 0.0015]. Regarding the results of GAIS after the application of microneedling, it was observed that the evaluators classified 5% of the faces as “Exceptional improvement”, 20% of the faces received the concept of “Very improved”, 47% were analyzed as “Improved”, 23% were considered “Unaltered” and 5% of the sample received the “Worsened” concept. CONCLUSION: In this study, the use of microneedling reduced acne scars, with reduced values of the Quantitative Global Scarring Grading System after treatment. In addition, the use of this therapy provided an obvious, but discreet, aesthetic improvement according to GAIS.
