ENTRE SALAS, LIVROS E JARDINS: TRAJETÓRIA E PRODUÇÃO INTELECTUAL DA PROFESSORA CONCEIÇÃO CARVALHO NO CENTRO DE CIÊNCIAS DA EDUCAÇÃO DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO PIAUÍ (1974-1995)

Abstract

RESUMO O propósito do presente estudo consiste em interpretar Maria da Conceição Sousa de Carvalho a partir dos indícios e memórias relacionadas à educadora, com foco em sua atuação como docente, gestora e intelectual na Universidade Federal do Piauí (UFPI). Nessa perspectiva o estudo é norteado pela seguinte questão: como se deu a trajetória da docente na UFPI, entre anos de 1974 a 1995? Diante disso, estabeleceu-se como objetivos específicos: investigar as ações da docente, bem como, suas marcas nos cargos de gestão – como chefe e subchefe do Departamento de Métodos e Técnicas de Ensino (DMTE), diretora e vice-diretora do Centro Ciências da Educação (CCE), além de sua participação na criação do Curso de Mestrado em Educação, atual Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPGED) da UFPI e da Revista Educação e Compromisso. Ademais o estudo almeja examinar a produção intelectual de Conceição Carvalho, tendo como objeto de pesquisa a UFPI, especificamente aspectos como: sua dissertação de mestrado, os editoriais e os artigos publicados na Revista Educação e Compromisso, e na Revista Linguagens, Educação e Sociedade. Teoricamente, a investigação alinha-se com as ideias de Ginzburg (1989) sobre o paradigma indiciário, Thompson (1981), no que tange às novas formas de pesquisar, no âmbito da história, Ricoeur (2007), quanto às suas argumentações sobre imaginário, memória e esquecimento, Le Goff (1984-2003), acerca do conceito de documento/monumento, Cellard (2012), sobre as orientações em relação ao tratamento de fontes documentais, e Duarte (2004), nas questões sobre entrevistas semiestruturadas. Por meio desse trabalho apreendeu-se que a trajetória da docente acompanhou avanços quanto a aspectos acadêmicos, da estrutura física e da circularidade dos saberes pedagógicos produzidos na UFPI. Outrossim, denotou-se a relevância das articulações e relações pessoais estabelecidas pela docente, suas redes de sociabilidades no DMTE, e as mobilizações junto às esferas superiores administrativas da instituição. Cabe, ainda, evidenciar o envolvimento direto de sua produção intelectual com a atuação e participação efetiva nas atividades de extensão, com cunho social, e ensino em nível de graduação. ABSTRACT The purpose of the present study is to interpret clues and memories related to the educator Maria da Conceição Sousa de Carvalho, focusing on her role as teacher, manager and intellectual at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI). From this perspective, the study is guided by the following question: how did the trajectory of the teacher in the UFPI, between years 1974 to 1995 come about? Facing this, the following specific objectives were set: to investigate the actions of the teacher, as well as her marks in the management positions - as head and deputy head of the Department of Teaching Methods and Techniques (DMTE), director and vice- director of Education Science Center (CCE) - in addition to its participation in the creation of the Master Course in Education, the current Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGED) of the UFPI and the Education and Commitment Magazine. In addition, the study aims to examine the intellectual production of Conceição Carvalho, having as object of research the UFPI, specifically aspects such as: his master's dissertation, the editorials and articles published in the Journal of Education and Commitment, and in the Journal of Languages, Education and Society . Theoretically, the research is aligned with the ideas of Ginzburg (1989) on the index paradigm; Thompson (1981), regarding the new ways of researching, in the context of history; Ricoeur (2007), regarding their arguments about imaginery, memory and forgetfulness; Le Goff (1984-2003) on the concept of document / monument; Cellard (2012), on guidelines for dealing with documentary sources; and Duarte (2004), in the questions about semi-structured interviews. Through this work, it was learned that the trajectory of the teacher accompanied advances in academic aspects, the physical structure and the circularity of the pedagogical knowledge produced in the UFPI. Furthermore, the relevance of the articulations and personal relations established by the teacher, their networks of sociabilities in the DMTE, and the mobilizations with the higher administrative spheres of the institution were denoted. It is also worth mentioning the direct involvement of their intellectual production with the effective action and participation in extension activities, with a social character and teaching at the undergraduate level.
