MULHERE SEM PERSPECTIVA: educação, trabalho, relações de gênero e casamento em Picos (1950-1970)

Abstract

RESUMO: Este trabalho analisa o processo de escolarização feminina em Picos e suarelação com os papéis femininos direcionados para o casamento e a maternidade nas décadas de 1950, 1960 e 1970. Assim, são abordados os aspectos que produzem as feminilidades e as diferenças entre os gêneros nos âmbitos das práticas infantis, da educação,do mercado de trabalho, dos espaços de sociabilidades e das próprias relações afetivas. Investigam-se também as questões relacionadas à sexualidade e à erotização do corpo feminino, que se configuram diante de novas apropriações dos espaços e relações sociais, enfatizando o amor e sua relação com o casamento. Enfatiza-se a (re)definição das funções de esposa, mãe e dona de casa diante da ampliação dos espaços de atuação feminina. A partir desses eixos, analisou-se as histórias de vida de sete mulheres que viveram em Picos, interior do Piauí, no período delimitado, pois entende-se que suas lembranças revelam memórias individuais e coletivas nos permitindo entender as continuidades e rupturas das definições femininas com base nas diferenças hierárquicas de gênero. Além das fontes orais, esta pesquisa fundamenta-se em jornais que circulavam na cidade no período em estudo, crônicas, brincadeiras infantis, fotos, livros de memória e biografia. As fontes são analisadas com base nos estudos de memória, gênero, História das mulheres e produções historiográficas sobre temas que tangenciam com esse campo temático. ABSTRACT: This paper analyzes the process of female schooling in Picos and its relationship with the female roles assigned to marriage and motherhood in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Thus, the aspects that produce femininity and the differences between genders are discussed. fields of children's practices, education, the labor market, socialspaces and affective relations. We also investigate issues related to sexuality and the eroticization of the female body, which are shaped by new appropriations of social spaces and relationships, emphasizing love and its relation to marriage. Emphasis isgiven to the (re) definition of the functions of wife, mother and housewife in view of the expansion of spaces for female performance. From these axes, we analyzed the life histories of seven women who lived in Picos, in the interior of Piauí, during the defined period, because their memories are understood to reveal individual and collective memories allowing us to understand the continuities and ruptures of feminine definitions based on hierarchical gender differences. Besides oral sources, this researchis based on newspapers that circulated in the city during the study period, chronicles, children's games, photos, books of memory and biography. The sources are analyzed based on the studies of memory, gender, history of women and historiographic productions on themes that touch on this thematic field.
