LITERICULTURA: as narrativas de um presente do passado na imprensa literária do início do século xx.

Abstract

RESUMO: A presente dissertação tem como objetivo analisar as narrativas históricas e literárias na imprensa literária piauiense do início do século XX, a partir da revista Litericultura, que circulou entre os anos de 1912 e 1913. O mundo concreto e as formas de experiências são cheias de possibilidade que se abrem e podem ser ―acessadas‖, na perspectiva de Ricoeur (2010), a partir das narrativas. A linguagem é assim o lugar propício para mediar o contato do homem com a realidade que o cerca. O primeiro pressuposto que devemos atentar no estudo das narrativas é evidenciar que narrar implica sempre em uma construção, que por sua vez trabalha sobre o princípio da verossimilhança. É fundamental que se entenda que as narrativas nunca poderão apreender o todo ou chegar ao ―que realmente foi‖, já que são construções e textos em aberto – onde cabe aqui o ciclo mimético de Ricoeur (2010). No caminho desta investigação qualitativa, que tem como base a perspectiva hermenêutica fenomenológica de Ricoeur (2010), trabalhamos a análise de narrativas a partir de duas entradas: pelo círculo hermenêutico e a partir da hermenêutica do si. Como amostra, foram selecionados quatro textos: os contos Os Burgos de Clodoaldo Freitas e Chapéu de Sebo de João Pinheiro, e os textos históricos Uma Viagem no Piauí em 1839 de Alfredo de Carvalho e Um patriota piauiense de Clodoaldo Freitas. Assim, as narrativas analisadas da revista Litericultura, ao passo que suscitam debates sobre as questões do seu tempo, buscando romper com os valores conservadores que dominavam o início do século XX, constroem memórias sobre o Piauí e seus personagens, promovendo um sentimento de identificação.------------- ABSTRACT: The present dissertation aims to analyze the historical and literary narratives in the literary press of Piauí in the early twentieth century, from the magazine Litericultura, which circulated between the years 1912 and 1913. The concrete world and the forms of experiences are full of possibility Which open up and can be "accessed" from the perspective of Ricoeur (2010), from the narratives. Language is thus the propitious place to mediate man's contact with the reality that surrounds him. The first assumption that we must pay attention to in the study of narratives is to show that narrating always implies a construction, which in turn works on the principle of verisimilitude. It is fundamental that we understand that narratives can never apprehend the whole or reach the "what really was", since they are constructions and open texts - where the mimetic cycle of Ricoeur (2010) fits here. In the way of this qualitative investigation, which is based on the phenomenological hermeneutic perspective of Ricoeur (2010), we work the analysis of narratives from two entrances: by the hermeneutic circle and from the hermeneutics of the self.As a sample, four texts were selected: the short stories The Burgos by Clodoaldo Freitas and the Hat of Sebo by João Pinheiro, and the historical texts A Trip in Piauí in 1839 by Alfredo de Carvalho and A Piauí patriot by Clodoaldo Freitas. Thus, the analyzed narratives of Literature magazine, while raising debates about the issues of its time, seeking to break with the conservative values that dominated the beginning of the 20th century, build memories about Piauí and its characters, promoting a sense of identification.
