AOS ENCANTOS DO LAR: amor e companheirismo entre Amélia Bevilaqua e Clóvis Bevilaqua

Abstract

RESUMO: Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a trajetória de Clóvis e Amélia Bevilaqua na sociedade brasileira, nos meados do século XIX e início do século XX. Para tanto, a investigação dá conta da vida pública e privada do casal, desde a solteirice até a vida a dois, priorizando a história social e intelectual. Disso a narrativa desdobra-se para tratar dos sentimentos, da união matrimonial e das relações de poder que se estabeleceram no mundo das letras no final do século XIX e início do século XX, tendo em vista o espaço ocupado pelo casal cujas produções foram divulgadas em âmbito nacional. Desse modo, ao construir uma história deste casal, este trabalho também permite vislumbrar o universo sociofamiliar da elite intelectual brasileira. Para tanto, este trabalho privilegia, de um lado, a pesquisa bibliográfica, pois a partir desta é possível conhecer o contexto histórico em que os sujeitos em análise estão inseridos e, de outro, a pesquisa documental, por meio do estudo e análise de uma vasta documentação privada encontrada em acervos físicos no Piauí e Ceará, bem como em acervos virtuais. ABSTRACT: This work aims to analyze the trajectory of Clovis and Amélia Bevilaqua in Brazilian society, in the mid-nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Therefore, the research discusses about the public and private life of the couple, from bachelorhood to life together, prioritizing the social and intellectual history. That the narrative unfolds to deal with the feelings of the marital union and power relations that were established in the world of letters in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, in view of the space occupied by the couple whose productions were released in nationwide. Thus, to build a history of this couple, this work also provides a glimpse of the universe family member of the Brazilian intellectual elite. Therefore, this work focuses on the one hand, the bibliographic research, because from this it is possible to know the historical context in which the subjects in question are inserted and on the other, the documentary research, through the study and analysis of a vast private documents found in physical collections in Piauí and Ceará, as well as virtual collections.
