SESINHO NO PIAUI: "a revista da criança inteligente" como proposta educativa do serviço social da indústria - SESI (1947-1960)

Abstract

RESUMO: O presente trabalho se propõe a analisar os aspectos educativos da revista Sesinho no período de 1947 a 1960 e sua circulação no estado do Piauí. O periódico surgiu como instrumento educativo do Serviço Social da Indústria - SESI e teve especialmente como público alvo, o infantil. O recorte utilizado tem início no ano de 1947 com a primeira publicação da revista Sesinho no mês de dezembro, e, como recorte final, o ano de 1960 com a conclusão da continuidade na produção dos periódicos que eram publicados mensalmente totalizando assim, 154 edições divulgadas. Visto que sua circulação teve amplitude de forma nacional e também chegou ao território piauiense, pretende-se contribuir com estudos do periódico delimitado no estado do Piauí. Nesse sentido, surgiram os seguintes questionamentos acerca da revista em questão: Quais propostas de formação educacional estavam em circulação na revista Sesinho que viriam a influenciar a formação da criança no período de 1947 a 1960? Como a revista foi organizada? Qual relação da revista com o contexto histórico vivenciado? De que forma ocorreu o processo de circulação da revista no Piauí? Como o estado do Piauí era representado no periódico? Destacando os problemas e os recortes necessários, definimos nossos objetivos propostos a fim de serem contemplados neste trabalho. Foi estabelecido como objetivo geral analisar os aspectos educativos da revista Sesinho de 1947 à 1960 e sua circulação no Piauí. E especificamente, entender os propósitos de criação da revista, discutir as propostas de formação da revista e compreender sua organização, representação e o contexto de circulação no Piauí. Esta pesquisa é bibliográfica, documental e predominantemente hemerográfica. Para o seu desenvolvimento, utilizou-se como fonte base as edições da revista Sesinho. Além disso, a localização de variadas notícias de jornais na Hemeroteca Digital da Biblioteca Nacional Digital – HDBN e a busca de fontes no arquivo público do Piauí em relação a revista Sesinho na

imprensa, o que possibilitou a utilização de jornais nesta investigação. O aporte teórico baseou- se em autores como: Barros (2023), Brites (2004), Burke (1992), Chartier (1998), Felipe

Mendes (2003), Ferro (2010), Luca (2015), Martins (2008), Passone (2021), Queiroz (2008), Royer (2014), Shelbauer e Araújo (2007), Sousa (2020), Vilanova (2024) entre outros. Os estudos realizados destacam que a revista Sesinho foi uma revista com perfil próprio que surgiu, agiu e interagiu com o cotidiano brasileiro e o Piauiense, perpassando períodos de grandes transformações sociais, econômicas, políticas, industriais e tecnológicas. Ganhou grande alcance de amplitude regional, nacional e internacional na formação do público leitor, ocupando espaço em muitas instituições e fora dela, apresentando aspectos educativos de formação da criança brasileira. ABSTRACT: This paper aims to analyze the educational aspects of the Sesinho magazine from 1947 to 1960 and its circulation in the state of Piauí. The periodical emerged as an educational instrument of the Social Service of Industry – SESI and its target audience was especially children. The cutting used begins in 1947 with the first publication of the magazine Sesinho in December and as a final cutting the year 1960 with the conclusion of the continuity in the production of periodicals which were published monthly, totaling 154 editions released. Since its circulation was nationwide and also reached the state of Piauí, It is intended to contribute with studies regarding the periodical delimited in the state of Piauí. In this sense, the following questions arose about the magazine in question: What educational training proposals were in circulation in the Sesinho magazine that would influence the child's development in the period from 1947 to 1960? How was the magazine organized? What is the relationship between the magazine and the historical context experienced? How did the magazine circulate in Piauí? How was the state of Piauí represented in the periodical? Highlighting the problems and necessary cuttings, we define our proposed objectives in order to be contemplated in this work. The general objective was to analyze the educational aspects of the Sesinho magazine from 1947 to 1960 and its circulation in Piauí. And specifically, understand the purposes of creating the magazine, discuss the proposals for the formation of the magazine and understand its organization, representation and the context of circulation in Piauí. This research is bibliographical, documentary and predominantly hemerographic. For its development, the editions of the Sesinho magazine were used as a base source. In addition, the location of various newspaper news items in the Digital Newspaper Library of the National Digital Library – HDBN and the search for sources in the public archive of Piauí in relation to the magazine Sesinho in the press made it possible to use newspapers in this investigation. The theoretical contribution was based on authors such as: Barros (2023), Brites (2004), Burke (1992), Chartier (1998), Felipe Mendes (2003), Ferro (2010), Luca (2015), Martins (2008), Passone (2021), Queiroz (2008), Royer (2014), Shelbauer and Araújo (2007), Sousa (2020), Vilanova (2024) among others. The studies carried out highlight that Sesinho magazine was a magazine with its own profile that emerged acted and interacted with the Brazilian and Piauiense daily life, going through periods of great social transformations, economic, political, industrial and technological. It has gained great regional, national and international scope in the formation of the reading public occupying space in many institutions and outside them, presenting educational aspects of the formation of Brazilian children.
