“UMA VIDA DEDICADA À EDUCAÇÃO”: trajetória docente de Manoel dos Martírios Moura Fé (1922-2005)

Abstract

RESUMO:Este é um estudo de História da Educação sobre a trajetória de vida docente de Manoel dos Martírios Moura Fé que identifica suas contribuições profissionais no contexto social e educacional em que viveu, para responder o seguinte problema de pesquisa: Como a ação docente de Dr. Moura Fé contribuiu com a educação de Picos-Pi, na época em que atuou? O objetivo geral da pessquisa foi investigar a trajetória de vida de Dr. Moura Fé, através de seus aspectos pessoais, de formação e de atuação docente, como forma de compreender os processos sociais e educacionais do Piauí no período de uma vida (1922-2005). O recorte temporal da pesquisa fundamenta-se na concepção do gênero História de Vida, que se refere ao período de uma vida inteira, motivo pelo qual foram utilizados como marcos temporais o nascimento e falecimento do pesquisado. Os objetivos específicos da pesquisa foram: a) revisitar os espaços em que o pesquisado atuou e viveu para compreender sua formação educacional e profissional; b) analisar a cultura escolar, as instituições escolares e práticas educativas de uma época, por meio da trajetória de vida do educador; c) identificar a trajetória pessoal e profissional de Dr. Moura Fé, por meio dos vestígios de memórias do seu arquivo particular; e d) historiar as práticas educativas de professor como forma de conhecer a realidade dos níveis e modalidades de ensino em que atuou em Picos-PI. Para responder o problema proposto, foi adotada a pesquisa do tipo documental, histórica e bibliográfica, sendo seguidas as orientações metodológicas da Nova História Cultural, que ampliou a das histórias de vida e possibilitou os usos historiográficos dos arquivos pessoais, fonte direta da pesquisa, além de documentos oficiais, documentos escolares, matérias jornalísticas, fontes imagéticas e fontes orais (entrevistas com aqueles que conviveram com o pesquisado). A pesquisa está fundametada teoricamente nos trabalhos dos seguintes autores: Certeau (1982), Burke (1992), Le Goff (2013), Galvão e Lopes (2010), Cunha (2019), Vicentini e Lugli (2009), Nóvoa (2002), Bourdieu (2006), Goodson (2002), Sousa (2009), Mignot (2000; 2002; 2006), Sousa (2005), Sousa (2019) e Vieira (2005), e Artières (1988). A análise histórica realizada levou à tese de que, por meio da trajetória de vida de Dr. Moura Fé, é possível compreender o processo social e educacional de uma época, os sentidos de ser professor, seu arquivo pessoal sendo meio de descortinar comportamentos e práticas educativas e sociais. Com isso, a pesquisa possibilitou conhecimento sobre a cidade de Picos, evidenciando fatos e personagens históricos que marcaram a história educacional da cidade. Através da análise da cultura material escolar, como quadros de formatura, convites e documentos escolares, sujeitos educacionais anonimos da história e fatos esquecidos foram vislumbrados. A tese tem sua relevância para a História da Educação e profissão docente por possibilitar reflexões nesses campos, a partir da trajetória de um educador. ABSTRACT:This is a study of the History of Education, about the teacher’s life story of Manoel dos Martírios de Moura Fé, which identifies his professional contributions within the social and educational context in which he lived, in order to tackle the following issue of the research:How did the teacher’s profession of Dr. Moura Fé contribute to the education of Picos PI, at the time within which he acted? The general goal of the research was to examine the life story of Dr. Moura Fé, through his personal, educational and teacher acting aspects, such as the way of understanding the social and educational processes in Piauí in the period of a life (1922-2005). The time period of the research is based on the conception of the History of Life, which refers to a life-long period, motive by which were utilized as temporal marks, of birth and death of the person in research. The specific goals of the research were: a) to revisit the spaces in which the person in research acted in and to apprehend their education and job training ; b) to analize the school culture, the school institutions and the educational practices of an epoch, through the life story of the educator; c) to identify the personal and professional life story of Dr. Moura Fé, through the remnants of the memories of his personal archive; and d) to document the lecturer practices as a way of knowing the reality of the levels and modes of teaching in which he acted in Picos-PI. In order to answer the issue forwarded, it was adopted a research of the documentary, historical and bibliographical type, following the orientations of the New Cultural History, which had amplified those of the life stories and which made it possible the historiographical uses of personal archives, direct sources of research, besides the official documents, school documents, journalistic stories, photographic sources and oral sources (interviewes with those who lived together with the person researched). The research was theoretically substantiated by the works of the following authors: Certeau (1982), (1992), Le Goff (2013), Galvão and Lopes (2010), Cunha (2019), Vicentini and Lugli (2009), Nóvoa (2002), Bourdier (2006), Goodson (2002), Sousa (2009), Mignot (2000; 2006), Sousa (2005), Sousa (2019) and Vieira (2005), and Artières (1988). The historical analysis conducted lead to the theory that, through the life story of Dr, Moura Fé, it is possible to understand the social and educational process of an epoch, the meanings of being a lecturer, their personal archive being a way to uncover behaviours and educational and social practices. With this, the research made it possible to learn about the city of Picos, demonstrating facts and historical characters wha marked the educational history of the city. Through the analysis of school material culture, such as graduation plaques, invitations and school documents, anonymous educational subjects of history and forgotten facts were foreseen. The thesis had its significance for the History of Education and teaching profession for making thinking in these fields possible, from the life story of the educator.
