REPRESENTAÇÕES POLIFÔNICAS: entre migrações, formação e militância do Barítono Raimundo Pereira (1978-2006)

Abstract

RESUMO: Esta tese tem como objetivo estudar o percurso do cantor de ópera piauiense Raimundo Pereira nos aspectos relativos às suas migrações, sua formação e atuação como militante do movimento homossexual. O trabalho foi realizado no âmbito do Programa de Pós Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal do Piauí – UFPI, linha de Pesquisa História da Educação. Este estudo foi apoiado na vertente da História Cultural com suporte em Burke (2005), Chartier (1990), Le Goff (2003) e Pesavento (2003). Para alcançar os objetivos estabelecidos foram conduzidas entrevistas semiestruturadas com interlocutores divididos entre familiares, professores e contemporâneos. Além das entrevistas, foram reunidos outros registros documentais: livro Muito prazer: sirva-se Raimundo Pereira Confidencial; cartas e fotografias obtidas em acervos pessoais e jornais; matérias jornalísticas armazenadas na hemeroteca da Biblioteca Nacional; programas de recitais; material audiovisual. A documentação foi organizada, desmembrada e reorganizada. Os dados foram entrecruzados de modo a evidenciar as categorias discutidas dentro de três capítulos, na temporalidade de 1978 – ano da primeira migração do barítono, até 2006 – ano de sua morte. Conclui-se que, embora as representações sobre o barítono sejam polifônicas, o cotejar das fontes permite interpretar que Raimundo Pereira foi um homem quepor meio da sua arte mobilizou as migrações, a formação, as redes de sociabilidades, a militância e as escritas de si como táticas para enfrentar preconceitos, resistir ao próprio apagamento e permanecer nos palcos até os últimos momentos de sua vida. ABSTRACT :This thesis aims to study the path of the Piauí opera singer Raimundo Pereira in aspects relating to his migrations, his training, and his role as a militant in the homosexual movement. The work was carried out within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Piauí – UFPI, History of Education Research line. This study was supported by the Cultural History aspect with support from Burke (2005), Chartier (1990), Le Goff (2003) and Pesavento (2003). To achieve the established objectives, semi-structured interviews were conducted with interlocutors divided between family members, teachers, and contemporaries.In addition to the interviews, other documentary records were gathered: book Muito prazer: sirva-se Raimundo Pereira Confidencial; letters and photographs obtained from personal collections and newspapers; journalistic materials stored in the National Library's newspaper library; recital programs; audiovisual material. The documentation was organized, dismembered, and reorganized. The data were intertwined to highlight the categories discussed within three chapters, from 1978 – the year of the baritone's first migration, to 2006 – the year of his death. It is concluded that, although the representations about the baritone are polyphonic, the comparison of sources allows us to interpret that Raimundo Pereira was a man who, through his art, mobilized migrations, education, sociability networks, militancy, and the writings of himself as tactics to face prejudice, resist his own erasure and remain on stage until the last moments of his life.
