GEOMORFOLOGIA ANTROPOGÊNICA EM TIMON, MARANHÃO: apropriação do relevo e modificações morfohidrográficas urbanas

Abstract

RESUMO: A atuação do ser humano nas transformações recentes das paisagens vem se tornando, cada vez mais, um tema de estudo, sobretudo para identificar os níveis de intervenção antrópica na dinâmica natural nesta última época do tempo geológico, vivida pela humanidade. Pode-se identificar, também, que a partir do processo de urbanização acelerado das últimas décadas, as cidades vêm ampliando a carência de infraestrutura adequada, particularmente pela ausência de planejamento e gestão ambiental. Com relação à apropriação do relevo, a partir do uso e ocupação da terra, as interferências na drenagem e no relevo, principalmente, vêm implicando em níveis de perturbações cada vez mais intensos nas paisagens urbanas. Desta forma, buscando analisar o relevo na cidade de Timon, Estado do Maranhão, na perspectiva do antropoceno e do tecnógeno, este trabalho tem como objetivo geral: Analisar as modificações do relevo e as alterações ambientais em três sub-bacias hidrográficas urbanas, por meio da abordagem da geomorfologia antropogênica. Como objetivos específicos encontram-se: Identificar a morfologia atual das bacias dos riachos Pedras, Açude e Bacuri, na cidade de Timon; avaliar o processo de expansão da cidade e suas consequências para as formas de relevo no período de 1990 a 2020; elaborar uma carta geomorfológica antropogênica das bacias hidrográficas dos riachos estudados. Os procedimentos metodológicos tiveram início com a revisão bibliográfica, seguindo-se a análise de imagens de satélite e cartas topográficas, paralelamente à realização de trabalhos de observação em campo. O mapeamento geomorfológico teve por base a taxonomia do relevo proposta por Ross (1992), buscando representar as formas de relevo e sua relação com os tipos de ocupação e uso da terra atuais. Como resultados foram identificadas formas antropogênicas (depósitos tecnogênicos, terrenos de agradação e degradação com desmonte de morros, taludes de corte, superfícies de escavação em vertentes), e o estado das respectivas perturbações do relevo, com catalogação das formas identificadas, gerando carta geomorfológica antropogênica das bacias hidrográficas dos riachos Pedra, Açude e Bacuri, na área da cidade de Timon, Maranhão.

ABSTRACT: The action of the human being in the recent landscape transformations has become, increasingly, a subject of study, especially to identify the levels of anthropic intervention in the natural dynamics in this last epoch of geological time, experienced by mankind. It can also be identified that, due to the accelerated urbanization process of the last decades, the cities have been increasing the lack of adequate infrastructure, particularly due to the lack of planning and environmental management. In relation to the appropriation of the relief, from the use and occupation of land, the interference in drainage and relief, especially, has been implying increasingly intense levels of disturbance in urban landscapes. In this way, seeking to analyze the relief in the city of Timon, State of Maranhão, in the perspective of the anthropocene and technogenic, this work has as a general objective: To analyze the modifications of the relief and the environmental changes in three urban sub-basins, through the approach of anthropogenic geomorphology. As specific objectives we find: Identify the current morphology of the Pedras, Açude and Bacuri creeks basins, in the city of Timon; evaluate the city expansion process and its consequences for the relief forms in the period from 1990 to 2020; elaborate an anthropogenic geomorphological chart of the studied creeks basins. The methodological procedures began with a bibliographic review, followed by the analysis of satellite images and topographic maps, in parallel with field observation work. The geomorphological mapping was based on the relief taxonomy proposed by Ross (1992), seeking to represent the relief forms and their relationship with the types of occupation and current land use. As results were identified anthropogenic forms (technogenic deposits, land enjoyment and degradation with dismounting of hills, cutting slopes, excavation surfaces on slopes), and the state of the respective relief disturbances, with cataloging of the identified forms, generating anthropogenic geomorphological chart of the watersheds of the creeks Pedra, Açude and Bacuri, in the area of the city of Timon, Maranhão.
