PRÁTICAS ADOTADAS POR GESTANTES E PUÉRPERAS NO ENFRENTAMENTO DA PANDEMIA DE COVID-19

Abstract

RESUMO: Este estudo objetivou compreender as práticas adotadas por gestantes e puérperas no enfrentamento da pandemia de COVID-19.Para tal realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa em saúde, desenvolvida a partir de um paradigma interpretativo. O universo da pesquisa compreendeu mulheres no ciclo gravídico-puerperal que faziam acompanhamento em uma unidade básica de saúde em Batalha, Piauí. A amostra por conveniência foi composta por mulheres no ciclo gravídico-puerperal, usando o critério de saturação teórica para sua construção. A produção de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevista não diretiva, através de roteiro semiestruturado. As participantes mencionaram lidar com um mundo de hábitos e rotinas particulares para o seu enfrentamento, resguardando as especificidades do olhar feminino na cultura e na família brasileira. Com a pandemia de COVID-19, alguns serviços de apoio à mulher e à gestação foram prejudicados e as equipes de Saúde da Família tiveram que se reinventar para garantir a continuidade da assistência no acompanhamento seguro das gestantes. a pandemia trouxe efeitos significativos para as gestantes e puérperas, refletindo em todas as fases do ciclo gravídico puerperal e nas práticas de cuidado em saúde.

ABSTRACT: This study aimed to understand the practices adopted by pregnant and postpartum women in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. For this, qualitative research in health was developed from an interpretive paradigm. The research universe comprised women in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle who were followed up at a basic health unit in Batalha, Piauí, Brazil. The convenience sample consisted of women in the pregnancy-puerperal cycle and the criterion of theoretical saturation was used. Data production was carried out through non-directive interviews, using a semi-structured script. The participants mentioned dealing with a world of habits and particular routines to face them, protecting the specificities of the female gaze in Brazilian culture and family. With the COVID-19 pandemic, some support services for women and pregnancy were harmed and the Family Health teams had to reinvent themselves to ensure continuity of care in the safe monitoring of pregnant and postpartum women. By observing the analyzed aspects, it is concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic brought significant effects to pregnant and postpartum women, reflected in all phases of the pregnancy-puerperal cycle and health care practices.
