O CRESCIMENTO DE COLETIVOS UNIVERSITÁRIOS NOS PROTESTOS DE 2019 NO BRASIL E NO CHILE

Abstract

RESUMO: Tanto o Brasil como o Chile foram palco de protestos iniciados por organizações estudantis no início e no final da década de 2010. Em ambos os países os protestos revelaram a importância de organizações do tipo coletivos, consideradas mais horizontais e democráticas quando comparadas a organizações mais tradicionais. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo central compreender o crescimento dos coletivos formados por jovens universitários e os motivos que explicam esse crescimento. Também serão descritas mudanças do ativismo universitário ao longo da década de 2010 e examinadas algumas concepções sobre política e democracia conforme o discurso dos jovens ativistas. Para tanto será realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa baseada em análise de documentos sobre os movimentos estudantis e entrevistas com os estudantes que organizaram os grandes protestos de 2011 a 2021 no Brasil e no Chile.

ABSTRACT: The growth of university collectives in protests in Brazil and Chile Both Brazil and Chile were the stage of protests initiated by student organizations in the beginning and end of the decade of 2010. In both countries, the revealed the importance of the type of organizations known as collectives, considered more horizontal and democratic when compared to traditional organizations. This research has as main objective to understand the growth of collectives formed by young university students and the reasons that explain this growth. Changes in university activism throughout the decade of 2010 will be described and some conceptions about politics and democracy will be examined according to the discourse of young activists. To this end, a qualitative research will be conducted based on the analysis of documents about collectives and interviews with student movements responsible for or ganizing the major protests of 2011 to 2021 in Brazil and in Chile.
