CASA DE SONS - ESCOLA DE MÚSICA DE TERESINA (1981 – 1991): sujeitos e práticas educativas entre salas e palcos

Abstract

RESUMO: O presente estudo tem como objetivo interpretar o processo de criação, consolidação e as práticas educativas da Escola de Música de Teresina nos seus dez primeiros anos de funcionamento, entre 1981 e 1991, numa perspectiva histórica. O corpus documental aqui mobilizado é constituído por matérias de jornais e revistas, correspondências institucionais, materiais didáticos-pedagógicos, regimento interno e fontes iconográficas da época em mote. Esses documentos foram selecionados em arquivos pessoais, no Arquivo Público do Piauí -Casa Anísio Brito e no acervo da Escola Estadual de Música Possidônio Queiroz, são articulados com oito entrevistas, realizadas com uma ex-funcionária, quatro ex-professores e três ex-alunas. Nessa perspectiva, investe-se na compreensão das redes de sociabilidades e das parcerias institucionais na constituição da instituição. Coloca-se em destaque os sujeitos e as práticas educativas desenvolvidas no âmbito das aulas música, bem como, na performance de solistas, conjuntos em recitais e concertos promovidos pela Escola. A fundamentação teórica e metodológica tem como base ideias de Magalhães (2004) no que concerne a história das instituições educacionais, de Ginzburg (1989) na abordagem da utilização de fontes documentais diversas, de Le Goff (2003) no uso da memória em pesquisas históricas e as de Norbert Elias e John Scotson (2000) no trato das redes de sociabilidades. Como resultado, é possível interpretar a instituição como uma das principais iniciativas do estado do Piauí no que se refere ao ensino de música. Entende-se que a criação e consolidação da Escola de Música de Teresina deu-se em virtude de parcerias institucionais estabelecidas pelos educadores musicais com o governo do Estado vigente à época, sujeitos que atuaram diretamente na Escola no período em destaque, e que fizeram seus ideais refletirem nas vivências educativas e culturais no âmbito artístico do Piauí.

ABSTRACT: This study aims to interpret the process of creation, consolidation and educational practices of the Music School of Teresina in its first ten years of operation, between 1981 and 1991, in a historical perspective. The documentary corpus mobilized here consists of articles from newspapers and magazines, institutional correspondences, didactic-pedagogical materials, internal regulations and iconographic sources of the period analyzed. These documents were selected from personal archives, at the Public Archives of Piauí Casa Anísio Brito and from the collection of the State School of Music Possidônio Queiroz, are articulated with eight interviews, carried out with a former employee, four former teachers and three former students, they are articulated with eight interviews, carried out with a former employee, four former professors and three former students. In this perspective, investments are made in the understanding of sociability networks and institutional partnerships in the institution's constitution. The subjects and educational practices developed in classes given in the scope of music classes are highlighted, as well as in the performance of soloists and ensembles in recitals and concerts promoted by the School. The theoretical and methodological basis is based on the ideas of Magalhães (2004) regarding the history of educational institutions, of Ginzburg (1989) in the approach to the use of different documentary sources, of Le Goff (2003) in the use of memory in historical research and those of Nobert Elias and John Scotson (2000) in dealing with social networks. As a result, it is possible to interpret the institution as one of the main initiatives in the state of Piauí with regard to music education. It is understood that the creation and consolidation of the Music School of Teresina was due to institutional partnerships established by music educators with the state government in force at the time, subjects who worked directly at the School in the highlighted period, and who made their ideals to reflect on educational and cultural experiences in the artistic scope of Piauí.
