FANZINES: história e subjetividades em Punkzines e Heavyzines

Abstract

RESUMO: Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar e suscitar um debate teórico e, especialmente, metodológico sobre as categorias sujeito, espaço/lugar e tempo tomando os fanzines (especificamente punkzines e heavyzines) como pretexto para produzir novas possiblidades de pesquisa sobre temas considerados marginais ou pouco usais no âmbito da pesquisa historiográfica. Além disso, estudo os processos de subjetivação dos punks e headbangers que arregimentaram esse circuito alternativo de comunicação. Para tal, averiguo como nas duas últimas décadas do século XX e nas duas primeiras décadas do século XXI as categorias elencadas acima, centrais para o fazer historiográfico, foram transformadas e subvertidas nas fontes históricas investigadas dificultando, assim, o seu enquadramento na pesquisa historiográfica. No primeiro capítulo (Colagem 1), realizo uma revisão bibliográfica para identificar como os historiadores, ao longo do século XX, geralmente utilizaram as categorias aqui explicitadas. No segundo capítulo (Colagem 2), analiso como tais categorias são dissolvidas na linguagem zineira, isto é, uma comunicação aberta e fragmentada que foi fomentada pela cultura zineira a partir da década de 1970. No último capítulo (Colagem 3), averiguo especificamente as formas de subjetivação de punks e headbangers e apresento como os conflitos e negociações entre ambas subculturas foram importantes para a consolidação de determinadas identidades. Ao longo da pesquisa os principais autores trabalhados são: Castelo Branco, Henrique Magalhães, Michel Foucault, Peter Burker, José Carlos Reis, Michel de Certeau e Stuart Hall. Em suma, o uso de fontes históricas tão singulares aliadas a conceitos teóricos flexíveis possibilitou a constituição de uma metodologia baseada na própria linguagem zineira que, por consequência, abriu um novo leque de possibilidades para as categorias aqui problematizadas. ABSTRACT: This work aims to analyze and raise a theoretical and, especially, methodological debate on the subject, space / place and time categories taking fanzines (specifically punkzines and heavyzines) as a pretext to produce new research possibilities on topics considered marginal or unusual within the scope of historiographical research. In addition, I study the subjectivation processes of punks and headbangers that enlisted this alternative communication circuit. To this end, I find out how in the last two decades of the 20th century and in the first two decades of the 21st century, the categories listed above, central to making historiography, were transformed and subverted in the historical sources investigated, thus making it difficult to fit them into historiographical research. In the first chapter (Collage 1), I perform a bibliographic review to identify how historians, throughout the 20th century, generally used the categories explained here. In the second chapter (Collage 2), I analyze how these categories are dissolved in zineira language, that is, an open and fragmented communication that was fostered by zineira culture from the 1970s onwards. In the last chapter (Collage 3), I specifically investigate the forms of subjectification of punks and headbangers and I present how the conflicts and negotiations between both subcultures were important for the consolidation of certain identities. Throughout the research the main authors worked are: Castelo Branco, Henrique Magalhães, Michel Foucault, Peter Burker, José Carlos Reis, Michel de Certeau and Stuart Hall. In short, the use of such unique historical sources combined with flexible theoretical concepts enabled the constitution of a methodology based on the zine language itself, which, consequently, opened up a new range of possibilities for the categories discussed here.
