MASCULINIDADES DESCENTRADAS: Confusão de gêneros nas práticas juvenis teresinenses na década de 1970

Abstract

RESUMO: Este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar as micropolíticas do corpo produzidas por parcela da juventude piauiense que realizava experimentalismos artísticos, jornalísticos e fílmicos no contexto da década de 1970. Busca-se perceber, por meio da análise das produções e táticas desse grupo juvenil piauiense, de que maneira esses jovens externavam as questões de gênero e sexualidade, especialmente no que diz respeito às masculinidades, na sociedade teresinense da década de setenta. O momento histórico em que esses jovens piauienses estão inseridos foi marcado por um contexto de transformações sociais, políticas, econômicas, culturais e também das relações de gênero. No início da década de setenta, muitas pessoas sentiram o arrochar da liberdade de expressão, tendo em vista a decretação do Ato Institucional nº 5, em fins de 1968, dando poder aos governantes para punir arbitrariamente os ―inimigos do Estado‖. Com o apoio das elites industriais, as administrações militares anunciavam o ―milagre econômico‖ brasileiro, aumentando o poder de compra das camadas médias da sociedade. O processo de globalização se intensificava nesse período e mudava as concepções temporais e espaciais, descentrando os sujeitos e fragmentando a paisagem cultural. A própria concepção de arte, nesse período, ganha uma nova roupagem. É nesse contexto também que as manifestações artísticas de vanguarda atravessam arte e existência, trazendo o corpo para o cenário político. E, nesse sentido, o corpo generificado e as concepções relativas às masculinidades e às feminilidades não escapam às problematizações feitas pelas produções artísticas de vanguarda que atuaram naquela época. Tendo sido tocado por essas mudanças e influenciado por elas, esse grupo de jovens acabou por externá-las em suas experimentações artísticas. Dentre as produções realizadas por esse grupo juvenil, selecionou-se como fonte histórica, além dos jornais alternativos O Gramma, O Estado Interessante, A Hora Fatal e Boquitas Rouge, os filmes Miss Dora, David Vai Guiar e O Guru da sexy cidade. Dentre os jornais da grande imprensa que circulavam diariamente na sociedade piauiense, foram selecionados O Dia, O Estado e A Hora. Além das fontes hemerográficas e fílmicas, utilizou-se também de entrevistas realizadas com algumas das pessoas que estavam envolvidas ou faziam parte do grupo juvenil em estudo. ABSTRACT: This works aims to study the micropolitcs of the body produced by a parcel of the Young people from Piaui that made artistic, journalistic and filmic experiments around the 70‘s. Observing, thought an analysis of productions and tactics of this young group who lived in Piauí, and in which way these young boys and girls externalize questions of gender and sexuality, specially directed to masculinity, at Teresina‘s society during the 70‘s decade. The historical moment that these young have been inserted was marked by a social, political, economic and cultural transformation context and even in the general relations context. In the beginning of the 70‘s, many people felt the repression of the freedom of speech, mainly because of the Institutional Act nº 5, around 1968, giving the government power to freely punish the ― enemy of the State‖. With the backup of the industrial elite, the military administration announced the Brazilian ―economic miracle‖ increasing the buying power of the medium classes of the society. The globalizations process intensified itself during these years and change the definition of time and space, decentralizing the subjects and fragmenting the cultural environment. The very definition of art gains a new clothing in this period. It is also in this context that the avant-garde artistic manifestations pass through art and existence, taking the body to the political scenery. In addition, in this meaning, the gendered body and the conceptions related to masculinity and femininity can‘t escape the problematizations made by the avant-garde artistic productions the happened in that time. Having being touched by these changes and influences by them, this group of young people from Piauí ended up externalizing their artistic experiments. Among the productions it was highlighted as an historical source, not only the newspaper called O Gramma, O Estado Interessante, A Hora Fatal e Boquitas Rouge but also the movies Miss Dora, David Vai Guiar and O Guru da sexy cidade. Among the big newspaper that daily circled Piauí‘s society were selected O Dia, O Estado e a Hora. In the making of this research were also utilized interviews made with some people who were involved or were part of the juvenile group studied.
