SENHORES DE GADO: RELAÇÕES DE MANDONISMO NO SERTÃO DO PIAUÍ 1874-1888

Abstract

RESUMO:O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a sociedade de Jaicós e áreas adjacentes, cuja documentação corresponde ao cartório de Jaicós, no período de 1874-1888, período de intensas transformações. Pretendemos estudar a distribuição das riquezas, assim como o processo de estratificação e hierarquização desta sociedade. Estudaremos igualmente as relações de trabalho, analisando a coexistência do trabalho livre com o trabalho escravizado, para ao fim identificarmos as representações sobre os homens, construídas no âmbito desta amostra de sociedade sertaneja, tendo como ideia central a integração das atividades da pecuária, da agricultura e do trabalho escravo. Para tanto, utilizaremos a metodologia da história demográfica, complementada por uma análise comparativa sobre fontes primárias, tais como: os autos dos inventários, os autos crimes, a lista de classificação dos escravos, o rol dos culpados. Tendo como suporte teórico autores como: Solimar Oliveira Lima, Hebe Mattos, Erisvaldo Fagundes Neves e Silvia Hunod Lara.

ABSTRACT:This study aims to analyze the society Jaicós and surrounding areas, whose documentation matches the notary Jaicós, from 1874-1888, a period of intense transformation. We intend to study the distribution of wealth, as well as the process of stratification and hierarchy of this society. We will also study labor relations, analyzing the coexistence of free labor as the enslaved work. To the end identify the representations of men, built within this sample hinterland society. With the central idea the integration of livestock activities, agriculture and labor. For this purpose we will use the methodology of demographic history, complemented by a comparative analysis on primary sources such as the case of inventories, the case crimes, the ranking list of slaves, the list of the guilty.
