EXPANSÃO E INTERIORIZAÇÃO DOS INSTITUTOS FEDERAIS DE EDUCAÇÃO: reflexões sobre a implantação e atuação do IFPI - Campus Angical

Abstract

RESUMO:Os Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia (IFs), criados por meio da Lei nº 11.892/2008, são instituições de educação superior, básica e profissional, pluricurriculares e multicampi, especializados na oferta de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT) em todos os níveis e modalidades de ensino. Dentre as finalidades e objetivos dos Institutos Federais, está a oferta da educação profissional e tecnológica como processo educativo e investigativo de geração e adaptação de soluções técnicas e tecnológicas às demandas sociais e peculiaridades regionais. Além de orientar sua oferta formativa em benefício da consolidação e fortalecimento dos arranjos produtivos, sociais e culturais locais, identificados com base no mapeamento das potencialidades de desenvolvimento socioeconômico e cultural no âmbito de atuação do Instituto Federal. Com base nessa atribuição dos Institutos Federais de estarem sintonizados com as características e demandas da região que abrange, realizou-se a presente pesquisa com o intuito de analisar o processo de implantação e a atuação do campus do IFPI, instalado na cidade de Angical do Piauí, bem como se as ações de ensino, pesquisa e extensão desenvolvidas nessa instituição estão em consonância com os arranjos produtivos locais e se estão realmente direcionadas para a realidade local, conforme preconiza as normativas e demais documentos institucionais referentes aos IFs e, especificamente, ao IFPI. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter descritivo e exploratório, no formato de estudo de caso, embasada em levantamento bibliográfico e análise documental. Concluiu-se que o IFPI- Campus Angical possui relevância para a região que abrange, mas precisa direcionar suas ações com mais efetividade para a realidade local, sobretudo, no tocante as atividades de pesquisa e extensão. Acredita-se que o estudo pode contribuir para o fortalecimento dessa Instituição de ensino no município e na região que abrange, apresentando os resultados de uma análise que busca entender como essa política pública de educação profissional e tecnológica está sendo implementada e sua significação no âmbito local e regional.ABSTRACT:The Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (FIs), created by Law 11.892 / 2008, are institutions of higher education, basic and vocational, multicurricular and multicampi, specializing in the provision of Vocational and Technological Education (EFA) in all the levels and modalities of education. Based on this attribution of the Federal Institutes to be in tune with the characteristics and demands of the region it covers, this research was conducted in order to analyze the implementation process and the performance of the IFPI campus, installed in the city of Angical do Piauí. . Its main objective was to investigate and analyze the implementation process of the IFPI-Campus Angical and if the teaching, research and extension actions developed in this institution are in line with the local productive arrangements and if they are really directed to the local reality, according to the norms and other institutional documents referring to the FIs and, specifically, to the IFPI . This is a descriptive and exploratory research, in the case study format, based on bibliographic survey and document analysis. It was concluded that the IFPI-Campus Angical has relevance to the region it covers, but needs to target its actions more effectively to the local reality, especially regarding research and extension activities. It is believed that the study may contribute to the strengthening of this educational institution in the municipality and the region it covers, presenting the results of an analysis that seeks to understand how this public policy of professional and technological education is being implemented and its significance in the local level. and regional.
