CONHECIMENTOS E ATITUDES ACERCA DA PROTEÇÃO SOLAR PELOS AGENTES COMUNITÁRIOS DE SAÚDE NO MUNICÍPIO DE LUÍS CORREIA – PIAUÍ - BRASIL

Abstract

RESUMO Os Agentes Comunitários de Saúde (ACS) expõem-se frequentemente à radiação solar durante a atividade laboral. Eles são profissionais essenciais na Equipe de Saúde da Família (ESF) e tem o poder de propagar informações de saúde valiosas à população atendida por eles. Objetivou-se com esse trabalho conhecer o perfil dos ACS de Luís Correia – Piauí (PI) - Brasil, visando aprender sobre seus hábitos de proteção solar e a importância dada à educação em saúde referente ao tema proposto. Foi realizado estudo transversal, quali-quantitativo, através da aplicação de questionário com os ACS de Luís Correia-PI. Os resultados apontam que devido à natureza de seu trabalho, esses profissionais se expõem frequentemente ao sol, porém não se protegem da forma adequada. Identificou-se a necessidade de educação acerca do tema para esses profissionais, a fim de minimizarem os riscos gerados pela exposição solar sem proteção. ABSTRACT Community Health Agents (CHA) are often exposed to solar radiation in their work activities. They are professionals essential to the Family Health Team and have the power to disseminate valuable health information to the population they attend to. The aim of this work was to know the profile of the CHA that work in Luís Correia - Piauí (PI) - Brazil, aiming to learn about their sun protection habits and the importance given to health education on the proposed theme. It was a cross sectional study, quali-quantitative study was carried out through the application of a questionnaire with the CHA from Luís Correia-PI. The results showed these professionals are often exposed to the sun, due to the nature of their work, but do not accordingly protect themselves. It was identified the need for education about the subject for these professionals in order to minimize the risks generated by unprotected sun exposure.
