EMERGÊNCIA ÉTNICA INDÍGENA, TERRITORIALIZAÇÃO, MEMÓRIA E IDENTIDADE DO GRUPO INDÍGENA TABAJARA E TAPUIO DA ALDEIA NAZARÉ

Abstract

RESUMO: Esta dissertação tem como objetivo refletir sobre o processo de Emergência Étnica vivenciado pelos indígenas Tabajara e Tapuio da aldeia Nazaré, localizada no município de Lagoa de São Francisco, estado do Piauí. O relato etnográfico é decorrente do trabalho de campo e do uso de procedimentos tais como: observação, entrevistas, registro audiovisual e participação em eventos e reuniões de interesse dos indígenas. Essa descrição e análise tem a pretensão de evidenciar o protagonismo dos sujeitos que compõem essa coletividade, a forma de organização social e estratégias políticas que estão sendo construídas em vista da afirmação e reconhecimento da identidade indígena. Para entender o processo de mobilização identitária em curso, descrevemos a composição da comunidade, dados historiográficos e a memória social do grupo. Abordamos as relações que se estabelecem entre os próprios indígenas e com os agentes externos tais como pesquisadores, representantes de secretarias e órgãos do poder público. Mostraremos a relação que se estabelece entre a agência dos sujeitos e o contexto das interações efetivadas e como tudo isso integra a construção de etnicidade indígena. ABSTRACT: This dissertation aims to reflect about the process of ethnic emergence that the indigenous Tabajara and Tapuio in the comunit of Nazaré, located in the Lagoa de São Francisco City, State of Piauí, has experienced. The ethnographic report is resulting of field work and the use of procedures like observations, interviews, audiovisual record and participation in events and meetings that the índios had interest. This descripitions and analysis have the desire of highlight the leading hole of guys that make up this community, the form of social structure and policy strategies that have been building in favor of assertion and recognition of indigenous identity. To understand the identity mobilization process in course, we describe the composition of the comunity, historiographic data and the social memory of the group. We approach the relationship laid down between the indigenous people and with external actors like researchers, representatives of the bureau and public administrations. We show that the relationship is established between the agency of the subjects and the context of the interactions effected and how all this integrates the construction of indigenous ethnicity.
