PERCURSOS HISTÓRICOS DE DOMINGOS DE FREITAS SILVA: política, religião e educação no Piauí do século XIX (1822-1870)

Abstract

RESUMO: Por meio dessa proposta tomamos como objeto de estudo o Piauí na primeira e início da segunda metade do século XIX no que concerne à política, religião e educação. Esse processo foi desenvolvido tendo como fio condutor a figura de Domingos de Freitas Silva, entendendo que todo indivíduo carrega consigo a marca da sociedade em que vive como também de uma nação, de uma classe específica e de pensamentos que permeiam os homens de seu tempo. A chave para compreendermos as especificidades e pluralidades da sociedade é analisar a historicidade do indivíduo e o fenômeno de suas vivências. É recorrida a história do personagem, por este ter se envolvido com os principais fatos políticos e sociais que ocorriam à época, como também, por este ter sido agente ativo de rupturas e mudanças vivenciadas no período analisado. Reconhecendo que o homem não existe só e que está inserido numa rede de relações sociais diversificadas, a vida de um indivíduo conflui de fatos e forças sociais. Tal como o indivíduo, suas ideias, representações e imaginário confluem para o contexto social ao qual ele pertence. ABSTRACT: Hereby this proposal it was taken as goal of study the State of Piauí in the first and in the beginning of the second half of the XIX century in the concern to the politics, religion and education. This process will be developed having as connecting threat, the picture of Domingos de Freitas Silva, understanding that ali the individual takes with himself or herself the mark of the society that him or her lives as well of a nation, of an specific class and of the thinking that permeate the men of its age. The key to understanding the specifics and pluralities of the society is to analyze the historicity of the individual and the phenomenon of him or her existence. It is recurrent the history of the character, for him has involved himself with the principal political and social facts that happened in that age, as also for this had been an active agent of ruptures and changes that were lived in that age. In recognition of that men do not exist alone and that men are inserted in a web of diversity social relations, the life of an individual can confluence facts and social force, like an individual, their ideas, representations and imaginary confluence to the social context to which it belongs.
