TA´P? CUHE MEHE HETA TETEA’U MY’AR, ZE’ENGAR, TENTEHAR CURY: MEMÓRIAS DO TEMPO DA ALDEIA ENTRE OS GUAJAJARA EM BARRA DO CORDA-MA

Abstract

RESUMO: A cidade de Barra do Corda compreende um dos principais núcleos de população indígena da região Norte-Nordeste do Brasil. A presente etnografia tem como pretensão refletir sobre o papel desempenhado pelas memórias dos sujeitos da etnia Guajajara nos processos identitários, que se constroem sob o terreno das relações de contato interétnico, em um contexto urbano. Pensar como as representações cosmológicas do passado experienciado na aldeia influem, direta ou indiretamente, nas práticas culturais e, sobretudo, na afirmação social da identidade étnica dos indígenas Guajajara, moradores da cidade de Barra do Corda, é o objetivo ao qual se dirige este trabalho. ABSTRACT: The city of Barra do Corda comprises one of the main centers of indigenous population in the North-Northeast region of Brazil. The present ethnography intends to reflect on the role played by the memories of the subjects of the Guajajara ethnicity in the identity processes that are constructed under the terrain of interethnic contact relations, in an urban context. To think how the cosmological representations of the past experienced in the village directly or indirectly influence cultural practices and, above all, the social affirmation of the ethnic identity of the Guajajara Indians, who live in the city of Barra do Corda, is the objective of this work.
