NARRATIVAS COLORIDAS: sexualidade e gênero em literaturas infantojuvenis estadunidenses

Abstract

RESUMO: Esta dissertação tem por objetivo discutir acerca do cenário literário LGBTQI estadunidense direcionado ao público infantojuvenil, partindo da discussão que diz respeito à literatura infantojuvenil, heteronormatividade, sexualidade, estereótipos de gêneros e seus diferentes aspectos. Será feita uma breve apresentação de como se encontra a multiplicidade da literatura escrita em Língua Inglesa e Portuguesa, até chegar-se a análise de três livros de autores americanos. Sendo eles: The Sissy Duckling, de Harvey Fierstein (2005), In our mothers’ house, de Patricia Palacco (2009) e 10,000 Dresses, de Marcus Ewert (2008), que abordam a temática do preconceito, estereótipos, lesboparentalidade e transexualidade, em suas narrativas, assim como, os modos de pensar, agir e comportar das personagens. Busca-se analisar como essas obras rompem com os limites da heteronormatividade, assim, a análise leva em conta as perspectivas teóricas de Coelho (2010), Louro (2010), Butler (2015), Bento (2014), Foucault (2013), entre outros autores que em seus fazeres teóricos abordam sobre a literatura infantojuvenil, a produção cultural do corpo, problemáticas de gênero, a reinvenção do corpo na experiência transexual, a história da sexualidade, levando em conta o poder e as resistências, respectivamente. A pesquisa é de cunho bibliográfico e de caráter exploratório, a partir da qual é possível apontar que as narrativas evidenciam angustias, preconceitos e violências vividas pelas personagens, assim como, apontam suas resistências por meio de suas existências, que podem ser percebidas como enfrentamento aos padrões heteronormativos. ABSTRACT: This master's dissertation aims to discussing the american LGBTQI literary scenario targeted at children and adolescents, starting from the discussion regarding children's literature, heteronormativity, sexuality, gender stereotypes and their different aspects. A brief presentation will be made of how the multiplicity of literature written in English and Portuguese is found, until the analysis of three books by american authors. They are: The Sissy Duckling, by Harvey Fierstein (2005), In our mothers' house by Patricia Palacco (2009) and 10,000 Dresses by Marcus Ewert (2008), dealing with prejudice, stereotypes, lesboparentality and transsexuality, in their narratives, as well as the characters's ways of thinking, acting and behaving. It is sought to analyze how these literatures break with the limits of the heteronormativity, thus, the analysis takes into account the theoretical perspectives of Coelho (2010), Louro (2010), Butler (2015), Bento (2014), Foucault (2013) among other authors who in their theoretical reseaches deal with children's literature, the cultural production of the body, gender troubles, the reinvention of the body related to the transsexual experience, the history of sexuality, taking into account power itself and resistances, respectively. The research has bibliographic and exploratory character, from which it is possible to point out that the narratives show anxieties, prejudices and violence experienced by the characters, as well as, point out their resistances through their existences, which it can be perceived as confrontation against the heteronormative patterns.
