SOCIALIZAÇÃO DO CONHECIMENTO ARQUEOLÓGICO NA ÁREA CAPELA DA MATA FRESCA, ARACATI-CE: redescobrindo com o povo do Vale do Jaguaribe

Abstract

RESUMO: Neste trabalho buscou-se compreender a amplitude que os estudos de Arqueologia podem ter em contextos de sítios históricos nos quais haja a coexistência de práticas religiosas do presente com as políticas públicas voltadas para a conservação de sítios arqueológicos, especificamente no caso da Capela Nossa Senhora da Soledade ou Capela da Mata Fresca, Aracati-CE. A referida capela passou pela etapa de escavação arqueológica que serviu como medida preliminar ao projeto de restauro da mesma. O sítio em questão é repleto de ressignificações religiosas por se tratar de um marco cristão importante para os moradores das regiões correspondentes ao Vale do Jaguaribe, especificamente os da comunidade Mata Fresca que participaram da escavação e contribuíram para as discussões sobre o papel público da Arqueologia e as alternativas de divulgação científicas mais eficazes, fazendo emergir uma relação entre ciência arqueológica e comunidade que favorece a conservação do sítio. Ainda são explanadas questões teóricas sobre Arqueologia e sociedade que direcionam o trabalho desde a primeira intervenção no sítio, realizada em julho de 2014. ABSTRACT: In this study we sought to understand the extent that studies of Archaeology may have on historic sites contexts in which there is the coexistence of religious practices of this with the public policies for the conservation of archaeological sites, specifically in the case of Our Lady of the Chapel solitude or Chapel of the Fresh Kills, Aracati-CE. That chapel went through archaeological excavation stage that served as a preliminary measure to restore the same project. The site in question is full of religious reinterpretation because it is an important milestone for the Christian residents of the regions corresponding to the Jaguaribe Valley, specifically the Fresh Kills community who participated in the excavation and contributed to the discussions on the public role of Archaeology and the most effective scientific dissemination of alternative, giving rise to a relationship between archaeological science and community that favors the conservation of the site. Walks are explained theoretical questions about Archaeology and society that guides work from the first intervention on the site, held in July 2014.
