GRUPO ESCOLAR PADRE DELFINO (1958-2016): HISTÓRIA E MEMÓRIA

Abstract

RESUMO:A pesquisa em questão buscou fazer um estudo sobre Instituição Escolar, reconstituindo e organizando a história e memória do Grupo Escolar Padre Delfino, localizado na zona urbana da cidade de Timon, no Maranhão. Foi criado no ano de 1958 sendo esse o recorte inicial da pesquisa, e o recorte final em 2016 quando a instituição passa a ser Colégio Militar. O trabalho tem pressupostos teóricos e metodológicos baseados na Nova História Cultural, seguindo os traços apontados em Le Goff (2003); Roger Chartier (1990) Peter Burke (1991); e em estudos da Cultura Escolar, como Dominique Julia (2001), Souza (2005); Instituições Escolares com Gatti (2002) e Magalhães (2004), História Oral como Meihy (2011), Memória Coletiva Maurice Halbwachs (2006). Nossa pesquisa revisita a história desta instituição escolar, através de vários documentos, como: Projeto Político Pedagógico (PPP), regimento escolar, boletim escolar, ficha de matrícula, decretos, processos, Jornais, etc. Fazemos uso também dos relatos orais através das entrevistas com pessoas que participaram da vivencia escolar ao longo desses anos, como alunos, diretores, professores e funcionário, assim como as fontes icnográficas também nos prestaram um grande apoio e suporte a pesquisa. O projeto educacional dos Grupos Escolares no Estado do Maranhão havia uma necessidade de incutir na sociedade os princípios republicanos, os políticos e as camadas mais abastadas da sociedade discursavam para promover um projeto educacional que trouxesse o município à modernidade e ao progresso, visando retirar a sociedade do analfabetismo e da ignorância, estas entendidas como herança de um passado próximo. O Grupo Escolar Padre Delfino representou, naquele período, o ato principal de investida política para a formação do cidadão moderno e civilizado. ABSTRACT:The research in question sought to make a study on School Institution, reconstituting and or-ganizing the history and memory of the Padre Delfino School Group, located in the urban area of the city of Timon, Maranhão. It was created in the year of 1958 being this the initial cut of the research, and the final cut in 2016 when the institution happens to be Military College. The work has theoretical and methodological assumptions based on the New Cultural History, following the traces pointed out in Le Goff (2003); Roger Chartier (1990) Peter Burke (1991); and studies of School Culture, such as Dominique Julia (2001), Souza (2005); School Institu-tions with Gatti (2002) and Magalhães (2004), Oral History as Meihy (2011), Collective Memory Maurice Halbwachs (2006). Our research revisits the history of this school institu-tion, through several official historical sources, such as: Political Project Pedagogical (PPP), school regiment, school report card, enrollment form, decrees, lawsuits, newspapers, etc. As the official sources are not enough to make the history of the School Institution, we also use oral reports through interviews with people who participated in the school experience over the years, such as students, principals, teachers and employees, as well as the icnographic sources also gave us great support and support for research. The educational project of the School Groups in Maranhão there was a need to instill in society the republican principles, the politi-cians and the more affluent layers of society spoke to promote an educational project that would bring the municipality to modernity and progress, with a view to withdrawing society from illiteracy and of ignorance, these are understood as inheritance from the near past. The Padre Delfino School Group represented, at that time, the main act of political inves- tigation for the formation of the modern and civilized citizen.
