EMOÇÕES E ESPIRITUALIDADE RASTAFÁRI NAS BANDAS DE REGGAE EM TERESINA-PI.

Abstract

RESUMO: A presente etnografia é uma imersão nos campos das emoções, da espiritualidade e da música. Esta dissertação está pautada em uma análise como já dito, etnográfica, sobre bandas de reggae locais que possuem de alguma forma relação com a espiritualidade rastafári. O motivo da escolha desse tema deve-se ao interesse de buscar conhecimento sobre as expressões culturais de um povo, de um estilo de vida, incluindo músicas de protesto e rituais relacionados, como o uso de dreadlocks e ervas. Nessa pesquisa o olhar antropológico é direcionado à importância da relação da música como influência e até ascensão de uma espiritualidade. O objetivo principal é compreender a relação existente entre a espiritualidade rastafári e o estilo musical reggae dos integrantes das bandas de reggae de Teresina-PI. Estas são: Jah Une e Regaplanta, além da visão do rasta Ed Ras. A maioria dos integrantes desta pesquisa são pertencentes a classe média A metodologia desta pesquisa contempla observação participante, caderno de campo, recolhimento de imagens fotográficas e fílmicas, analisando as imagens dos ingressos, cartazes de shows, fotos das bandas,etc; entrevistas não-diretivas coletivas e individuais, contou também com uma roda de conversas composta por alguns membros desta pesquisa. O referencial teórico do estudo é composto dos seguintes apostes teóricos: Mauss, Durkheim, Le Breton, Geertz, Aldo Natale Terrin, Koury dentre outros para tratar das temáticas da espiritualidade e do campo da antropologia das emoções e dos autores Oliveira Pinto, Lundberg, Carvalho, Ilari, Menezes Bastos, Caldas, Brooks, Blacking, Eyerman e Jamison para tratar do campo da etnomusicologia. Para tratar da questão da sociabilidade Simmel, para tratar da questão da identidade Souza, Da Matta e Stuart Hall. Percebe-se que nem todos os aspectos transmitidos através da música são vivenciados no dia-a-dia de todos músicos, pois nem todos integrantes das bandas são rastas. Acredito que a presente pesquisa serve para desmistificar o reggae dentro da sociedade teresinense, além de buscar quebrar os preconceitos e estereótipos atrelados aos rastas. A presente pesquisa é de abordagem qualitativa, explorando os recursos da subjetividade. ------------------- ABSTRACT: This ethnography is an immersion in the fields of emotions, spirituality and music. This work is guided by an analysis as I said, ethnographical on local reggae bands that have some rela-tionship form with the Rastafarian spirituality. The reason for the choice of this theme should be to the interest of seeking knowledge about the cultural expressions of a people, a lifestyle, including protest songs and related rituals, such as the use of dreadlocks and herbs. In this research the anthropological gaze is directed to the importance of the relationship of music to influence and even rise of spirituality. The main objective is to understand the relationship between the Rastafarian spirituality and musical style of reggae members of reggae bands of Teresina-PI. These are: Jah Une and Regaplanta, beyond rasta Ed Ras vision. Most members of this research are owned by middle class The methodology of this research include partici-pant observation, field notes, gathering photographic and filmic images, analyzing the images of the tickets, concert posters, photos of bands, etc; interviews collective and individual non-directive, also featured a conversation wheel composed of some members of this research. The theoretical framework of the study consists of the following theoretical apostes: Mauss, Durkheim, Le Breton, Geertz, Aldo Natale Terrin, Koury and others to address issues of spir-ituality and the field of psychological anthropology and authors Oliveira Pinto, Lundberg, Oak Ilari, Menezes Bastos, Caldas, Brooks, Blacking, Eyerman and Jamison to address the field of ethnomusicology. To address the issue of Simmel sociability, to address the issue of identity Souza, Da Matta and Stuart Hall. It is noticed that not all aspects transmitted through music are experienced in day-to-day of all musicians, because not all members of the band are rastas. I believe that this research is to demystify the reggae in the Teresina society, and seek to break prejudices and stereotypes linked to dreadlocks. This research is qualitative ap-proach, exploiting the resources of subjectivity.
