org.jdom. ABSTRACT Currently, the theme of geodiversity has been exponentially assuming relevant contributions in Science, expanding this field of knowledge with a wealth of information about the various elements of geodiversity found on planet earth. Geodiversity and its associated themes are in constant evolution and in continuous prominence in the international and national scientific scenario. Brazil, a country of continental dimensions and great abiotic richness, still has few surveys about its geodiversity, notably for the Northeast region, in this sense, this research proposed to carry out a survey of the geodiversity and the geoheritage of the Boqueirão do Piauí municipalities, Campo Maior, Jatobá do Piauí and Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, located in the Territory of Carnaubais, in the northwest mesoregion of Piauí, micro-region of Campo MaiorPI. As specific objectives, the following stand out: i) Inventory and quantify the geoheritage of the study area; ii) Develop a geotourism itinerary considering the inventoried and quantified geoheritage; iii) Propose geo-educational itineraries and educational workshops for the purpose of disseminating the theme and the geoheritage of the municipalities studied and iv) developing/carrying out didactic-pedagogical workshops in a public school in the study area. The choice of the study area is justified by the search for the diffusion and valorization of the Geodiversity theme, in addition to the study offering an expressive contribution about the geodiversity potential of the inventoried area, as well as being a potentializer of geotourism and geoeducational activities. The methodology used for the geoheritage inventory was based on Araújo (2021); for the quantification of the geoheritage, the methodology of Pereira (2006) was used; the proposal for the elaboration of a geotourist itinerary is supported by Silva (2017), Silva (2020), Lopes (2020) and Ferreira (2021); the geoeducational script was adapted from Maciel (2020), the geodidactic workshops that aim to disseminate knowledge about the geodiversity and geoheritage of the study area, were based on the methodological proposal of Moreira (2014),Silva and Moura-Fé (2020) and Rêgo (2018). Eighteen sites of relevant interest (LRI) in the study area were inventoried, and after quantification, those that presented a high value considering the geomorphological parameter were classified according to the parameter established in geomorphosites, in a total of 11 and sites of geodiversity were those with relevance based on other values (tourist, cultural, economic, etc.), and with low geomorphological value, in a total of 07 inventoried geodiversity sites. After the inventory, 10 sites (geomorphosites and geodiversity sites) were selected for dissemination, considering the route between them, accessibility, and availability of support services close to geomorphosites and geodiversity sites. The proposal includes the following locations: 1- Mirante do Cruzeiro Geomorphosite, 2-Mirante dos Morros Geomorphosite, 3-Cachoeiras Morro de Santo Antônio Geomorphosite, 4-Açude Corredores Geomorphosite, 5-Cachoeira Cevada I Geomorphosite, 6-Cachoeira Cevada II Geomorphosite in municipality of Campo Maior, followed by 7-Geomorphosite Cachoeira da Bica and 8-Geomorphosite Cachoeira Furnas in the municipality of Jatobá do Piauí, followed by 9-Geomorphosite Piscinas Naturais in Boqueirão do Piauí and finished by 10-Geomorphosite Cânions do Funil in the municipality of Nossa Lady of Nazareth. Seeking to disseminate and institute the promotion of geomorphosites and geodiversity sites, integrated geoeducational itineraries were proposed between the municipalities and also the holding of 3 workshops on the dissemination of the geodiversity theme (geomorphology, pedology and hydrology contents) associated with the geomorphosites and geodiversity sites inventoried with students of the 6th year, of the fundamental education of basic education based on the BNCC of Geography. Considering the relevance of the data obtained and the successful experience with regard to the applicability of the workshops, it is recommended to expand similar research to the other municipalities in Piauí, given the rich geodiversity and geoheritage of the State.
